Reclaim Earth Day

Reclaim Earth Day!! April 20th

Toronto Climate Campaign is a coalition representing unions, environmental and social justice organizations, and students whose key initiative is to mobilize, motivate and educate people to bring about a collective change in the fight against global warming. Our goal is to demand urgent change in infrastructure among governments, businesses and institutions towards sustainable living. Our unifying demand is Kyoto Now!

12 pm Rally at Yonge-Dundas Square to Reclaim Earth Day

In April 1970, the environmental movement burst onto the political stage with one of the largest grassroots demonstrations ever seen. Let’s put the activism back into Earth Day with a rally to call on the Harper government to implement Kyoto, introduce mandatory emission reductions and support green energy.

1 pm U-Turn Parade

The parade route goes from Yonge-Dundas Square to Queen and Spadina where we will do a U-turn back to Queen and John Street. Show the Harper government that we want an about-face on climate change policy.

2-4 pm Street Festival (Queen and John Street)

Join Streets are for People in a festive celebration of Earth Day!
