The speaker is Professor Ato Quayson, the director of the Centre for Diapora and Transnational Studies. He will be speaking about features of the highly globalized street that relate to certain aspects of colonial and post-colonial urban planning in the cities.

This opening session of a guest speaker series will detail the relationships between aspects of colonial and post-colonial urban planning and the formation of a highly globalized street. Through the various intersecting histories and the information ecology of the street, we will explore the ways in which civic infrastructure fits into a city, a culture, and a history.
